The Alderson-Collins Era

Alas, the Mets have a new GM and Manager. Only now, we wait around to see if it was mgmt is what they need to utilize a very talented team. I'm an optimistic Mets fan, knowing very well that by September, I can expect anything to happen whether it be a familiar collapse or an injury that ruins any chance of the post-season. Yes, I'm optimistic that the Mets can pull off an unbelievable win streak and somehow get to the World Series, but I cannot give up on them ever. Even to the last day of the season, I still pride myself in the orange and blue NY emblem. I hope that the Mets can give us fans a reason to care about them. I want this GM and manager to prove to all of baseball that anything is possible and the Mets is the team that will surprise everyone next season. I'm sick and tired of hearing all those other teams fans and anything they have to say about my team.

Alderson and Collins are two individuals that I have never heard of before the search for Mets managers. It's kind of mind-boggling to even start judging their managerial skills before they actually do the job. So I have nothing to critique, but only to say that they're gonna be in it for the long haul. I hope that this is the start of a new era and that the team builds close knit relationships that allows them to perform as a team.

I want to forget the past 4 seasons. This is the year that things turn around. =)
