As a Mets fan, you better have the strength to take on the losses because luck is not on their side. Before the Mets faced the Yankees, there was a glimmer of hope for the season. But then, they're free falling once again. I will accept close games in which they lose, but to lose with errors, sloppiness, and basically just stinkin'....I don't know what to make of this team. I really do despise how Fred Wilpon lashed out at Reyes, Beltran, and Wright. They have to go! The Coupon Wilpons HAVE TO GO! I really don't want this team to be the butt of all jokes. Every game is like a defining moment of the Mets season. People have thrown in the towel since Easter and there's not one person that I know...that have faith in the team. Why should anyone? I love baseball and I love when an underdog team proves everyone wrong. I want the Mets to be that team. I even told myself, when the season started...if they make the postseason, that would actually make me happy, even if they don't go all the way. Getting to the postseason would mean that they give the fans something to cheer about. I mean if I was on the team, I'd want to get traded so that I'd have a chance to win. The Mets are still "figuring out" who plays what position when someone gets injured.I'm hangin' in there as a fan and perhaps, it's just time to accept that this year, it's a whole year of spring training and if they get anywhere near the postseason, no one would've believed it and it would take a miracle. It would be the ultimate shock...a dream I would wake up from. Ah wellz.
