This is what I'm talking about! The past two series, they won 2 of 3, that's all I hope for. Mets did a good job tonight of rallying and hitting those homers. Gee didn't look good tonight, but sometimes the offense have to produce to win games. They did just that. Ike's absence brings out the call-ups/bench players and we need those guys to be consistent even if they're not playing. We need them to be ready to step up when our crucial guys are injured. Just saw the repeat of DWright's HR and man do you see his tongue out as he runs the bases. Heheh. But Bay really started it up. He seems to really pick up his slack that is owed to us! When I least expect it, guys like Pridie and Turner get those insurance runs. The Mets are forming the team that will fight every naysayer and opposing team, and they're not giving up. True fans are right by their side. KRod has been consistent with closing out games. As long as he stays out of trouble and continues pitching the way he always had... I know that there are rumors about trades, but I truly think that the team we have now is capable of winning a championship. If the guys are in their talented mode without injury, they're really talented, but their timing is never synchronized and I hate that because it's why they lose games. If we had 5 reliable pitchers, this team would make it to the end. This year, I really believed in Pelfrey and Dickey to be our prized starters before the return of Santana. But right now, we're relying on several pitchers who I truthfully cannot rely on. They're not consistent. I feel like all the team needs is the series win, not necessarily sweeping every team. If they can beat the bad teams and get 2 of 3 from the good teams, for the next few weeks, they'll regain their confidence and their fans back. There's still a lot of doubt and disappointed fans. I'm optimistic and I will continue to watch even if it hurts. I'm a baseball fan and watching my Mets is my way of life. I just have to keep believing in them when no one else can, because if anything, they'll have me as a fan.
